The first Full Moon of the solar year rises in Cancer, carrying the ancient name Wolf Moon: a deeply tender, protective, and emotionally rich energy field that mirrors the quiet intensity of midwinter. Traditionally, the Wolf Moon was associated with instinct, endurance, and the call of belonging during the coldest, most inward time of the year. This lunation invites us to come home to our emotional body, to listen inwardly, and to begin the gentle alchemy of release and renewal.

Cancer energy holds the matrix of belonging: home, lineage, roots, and the subtle filial yearnings of the spirit. It asks us not just what we feel, but why and how our inner life has been shaped by landscapes of memory, family dynamics, and ancestral care.
