Our matcha bowls are lovingly handmade by a renowned manufacturer in the Tono region of Japan. This region is located in the south-east of Gifu Prefecture in central Japan and is considered the center of the world-famous Mino pottery. From as early as the 13th century, an important craft developed there for processing chawan to prepare matcha, and this craft tradition is continued in perfection to this day.
Only natural clay is used in the production of our matcha bowls. The bowls are food safe, free of harmful substances and dishwasher safe.
