Rudraksha beads have been worn and used in meditation for thousands of years within Hindu and yogic traditions. The name Rudraksha is commonly translated as “tears of Shiva”, referring to Lord Shiva, and the seeds have long been regarded as sacred.

This Mala is made with 5 Mukhi Rudraksha, meaning that each seed naturally has five faces or lines. Also known as Panchmukhi Rudraksha, it is one of the most commonly worn types and is traditionally associated with inner balance, wellbeing and support on a spiritual path.

Rudraksha is also traditionally worn for energetic protection and as a support during meditation, helping you turn your attention inward and stay centred when there is a lot happening around you.

THE MALA

A Mala is a traditional meditation necklace used to count repetitions of a mantra. Moving from bead to bead gives your mind a physical point of focus while you breathe, meditate or repeat your mantra.

You can use yours as part of your meditation practice or simply wear it throughout the day.

WHY 108 BEADS?

Traditionally, a Mala contains 108 beads, a number considered sacred within Hindu and Buddhist traditions and found throughout yogic philosophy, spiritual texts and meditation practices.

But you don't need to understand every meaning behind 108 to use a Mala.
